How it all began

I first started tracing my family tree back in 1988. In those days i didn't have access to the internet so used to spend all my spare time in Hull Central Library. I decided to trace my tree in that year as it was the year my beloved Dad died and i felt i knew nothing about my roots.

I started asking my Mum lots of questions to start me off and that was it... My tree began to grow

  1. Tracing your ancestry is a lot of fun. I'm using ancestry.com and have found a lot of useful stuff there...from census and from other distant relatives. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to trace family who immigrated if you don't have basic data. Still...I've found a lot of info and have printed out most of it for family. Enjoy working on your family tree!!!
